New heart pump aims to keep patients stable during dangerous artery procedures

Summary
This study is testing a temporary heart pump device called the Elevate System. It's designed to support patients' hearts during high-risk procedures to open blocked heart arteries. The goal is to prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure that can occur when the artery is temporarily blocked during the procedure. Researchers will compare outcomes for patients who receive the pump versus those who get standard care.
