Simple heart test could predict surgery complications

NCT ID NCT07454564

Summary

This study aims to see if measuring how strongly the heart pumps before surgery helps predict who might have complications afterward. Researchers will observe 120 patients aged 65+ having abdominal surgery, using non-invasive heart measurements and a standard risk score. The goal is to improve how doctors assess surgical risk to keep patients safer.
