NCT ID NCT04276155

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at 500 people who had a heart attack and also have a new type of irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Doctors want to see if using an implantable device that tracks the heart remotely can help decide when to start blood thinners, instead of starting them automatically. The goal is to reduce dangerous bleeding while still preventing strokes.
