First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at 500 people who had a heart attack and also developed a new irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Doctors want to see if using an implantable heart monitor that sends data remotely can help decide when to start blood thinners, compared to the usual approach of starting them based on a risk score. The goal is to reduce dangerous bleeding while still preventing strokes.
