First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 27, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether referring patients who had a heart injury after noncardiac surgery to a heart specialist can help prevent major heart events. About 1 in 10 surgery patients experience this injury, but there is no standard follow-up care. The study will enroll 100 adults and focus on whether such a referral is practical and effective.
