First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple heart ultrasound can help doctors know when ICU patients on breathing machines are ready to breathe on their own. Researchers will measure right heart function in 60 adults just before they try coming off the ventilator, then check if they succeed within 24 hours. The goal is to find a better way to predict weaning success and avoid complications.
