Could fibromyalgia affect your heart? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07150455

Summary

This study aims to understand if people with fibromyalgia have early, hidden changes in their heart muscle function. Researchers will compare detailed heart ultrasound scans from 59 people with fibromyalgia to 59 healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if a sensitive measurement called GLS can detect subtle heart changes before standard tests show any problems.
