NCT ID NCT04980716

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether early, specialized heart monitoring and care can help people with advanced lung cancer live longer and have fewer heart-related side effects while receiving standard cancer treatments like radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. About 524 adults with stage III non-small cell lung cancer will be randomly assigned to either usual care or early heart-focused intervention. The goal is to see if this approach improves overall survival and reduces serious heart complications.
