Scientists probe hidden links between body fat, tiny heart vessels, and fitness
NCT ID NCT04822649
Summary
This study aims to understand how the function of tiny blood vessels in the heart and a person's body composition (like muscle and fat) are related to their exercise capacity. It will enroll 100 adults with symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath who have a specific type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't relax well. Researchers will measure participants' fitness, body composition, and heart blood flow to look for connections.
