Can rehab and massage ease heart failure swelling?
NCT ID NCT07095764
Summary
This study tested if starting supervised exercise (cardiac rehab) and a gentle massage technique (manual lymphatic drainage) during a hospital stay could help people with sudden worsening of heart failure. Researchers wanted to see if these treatments could reduce painful leg swelling and help patients walk farther. The trial involved 40 hospitalized patients who were medically stable.
