New sensor could keep heart failure patients out of the hospital after valve surgery

NCT ID NCT07442903

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a small sensor placed in the lung artery can help manage heart failure in people with severe tricuspid regurgitation who are getting a valve repair. About 45 participants will get the sensor and have their heart pressures monitored before and after the procedure. The goal is to see if early warning signs from the sensor can prevent hospital stays and improve care.
