Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called OPC-131461 in 157 adults with heart failure who still had swelling (edema) despite taking standard water pills. The goal was to see if the drug could help reduce body weight by removing extra fluid. Participants received either a placebo or one of four doses of the drug for up to 15 days. The main measure was weight change from the start to day 8.
