Tiny heart device zaps weak hearts back to strength

NCT ID NCT04662034

Summary

This study tested a small, implanted device called the C-MIC System for people with chronic, moderate-to-severe heart failure. The device sends tiny electrical currents to the heart muscle to try to help it pump more strongly. Researchers compared 70 patients who got the device plus standard medications to patients who only received medications, checking if heart function improved after six months.
