Scientists scan hearts and brains to uncover hidden link to memory loss
NCT ID NCT07485816
Summary
This study aims to understand how heart failure affects oxygen supply to both the heart and brain, and whether this is linked to memory and thinking problems. Researchers will use a special type of MRI scan on 60 heart failure patients while they perform breathing exercises. They will also test patients' memory and thinking skills to see if lower oxygen reserves in these organs correlate with cognitive decline.
