Summary
This study looked at 552 people hospitalized with acute coronary syndrome (a serious heart condition). Researchers used routine blood tests to calculate a "leukoglycemic index" (LGI) combining white blood cell count and blood sugar. They compared this to a heart imaging score (SYNTAX) to see if LGI could predict how complex the heart disease was. The goal was to learn more about the link between blood markers and heart disease severity, not to test a treatment.
