Tiny heart plug aims to stop killer strokes

NCT ID NCT03616028

Summary

This early study is testing a new heart implant called the CLAAS device. It is designed for people with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who are at high risk of stroke but cannot take long-term blood thinners. The device is placed to seal off a small pouch in the heart where dangerous blood clots often form, aiming to prevent strokes without needing daily medication.
