Summary

This study looks at whether high-risk patients (those with serious health conditions) experience heart damage after a routine upper and lower GI endoscopy. Researchers will measure a heart enzyme called troponin before and after the procedure in 120 patients. The goal is to find out how often this heart damage occurs and to improve monitoring during these common procedures.
