Heart clip tested to lock away stroke risk

NCT ID NCT06203054

Summary

This study is collecting real-world data on a clip device designed to close off a small pouch in the heart called the left atrial appendage. The goal is to see if this procedure, done during other planned heart surgery, is safe and effective at preventing blood clots that can cause strokes. The study will follow 150 patients for up to three years to check how well the clip works and monitor for any complications.
