First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a condition called autonomic dysreflexia (sudden high blood pressure) causes heart changes in people with long-term spinal cord injury. Researchers will use heart MRI scans to compare 24 people with high-level injuries who have this condition to 24 people with low-level injuries who do not. The goal is to understand if autonomic dysreflexia is an overlooked risk factor for heart problems in this group.
