New 3D X-Ray tool aims to better map heart artery calcium
NCT ID NCT07417150
Summary
This study is testing a new 3D x-ray tool to see if it can measure calcium buildup in heart arteries as well as the current standard method, which uses an ultrasound probe inside the artery. Researchers will enroll 30 adults with calcified heart artery blockages to compare the two measurement techniques. The goal is to see if the new tool provides accurate measurements while checking if it affects procedure time, radiation dose, or safety.
