Ambulance test aims to spot hidden heart attacks faster

NCT ID NCT07419139

Summary

This study is testing a new decision-making tool to help ambulance crews better identify patients having a specific type of heart attack that doesn't show clear signs on a standard ECG. About 304 patients with suspected heart attack symptoms will receive standard care plus an extra blood test in the ambulance. Researchers will collect data to see how well the tool works, without changing the patients' treatment, and will follow up with patients for 90 days.
