New balloon pump could save heart muscle during heart attack procedures
NCT ID NCT07354035
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special balloon pump to standard heart attack treatment can better protect the heart muscle and reduce complications. The device is placed in a vein near the heart during the procedure to potentially improve blood flow. Researchers will enroll 177 patients experiencing a specific type of severe heart attack to compare outcomes between those receiving the device plus standard care versus standard care alone.
