Heart attack recovery: is sooner better for second procedure?
NCT ID NCT04918030
Summary
This study aimed to find the best time for a second heart procedure in patients who had a severe heart attack and have multiple blocked arteries. Researchers compared doing the follow-up procedure within about a week versus waiting about a month. They wanted to see which timing leads to fewer future heart problems, like another heart attack or death from heart disease, over the next year.
