Could squeezing an arm save your heart after an attack?

NCT ID NCT07272408

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether a simple technique called remote ischemic conditioning could help patients during a heart attack procedure. The technique involves repeatedly squeezing and releasing a blood pressure cuff on the arm. Researchers wanted to see if this could reduce heart damage, improve recovery, and protect the kidneys in just two patients undergoing emergency heart artery clearing.
