First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a single antibody infusion, called atibuclimab, can help protect the heart muscle from further damage after a severe type of heart attack (STEMI). The study will involve about 10 adults who have just had a stent placed to open a blocked artery. Researchers will compare the antibody treatment to a placebo to see if it improves heart function and reduces harmful inflammation.
