Can a routine blood test predict your heart attack risk?

NCT ID NCT07276256

Summary

This study looked at 552 people hospitalized with a serious heart condition (acute coronary syndrome). Researchers wanted to see if a simple score calculated from a routine blood test—combining white blood cell count and blood sugar—was linked to how severe their heart artery blockages were. They compared this blood test score to a detailed imaging score of the heart's arteries to find any connection.
