New heart attack recovery plan aims to slash cholesterol and save lives
NCT ID NCT07178444
Summary
This study is testing if adding extra support from a team of nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists helps people who recently had a heart attack lower their 'bad' cholesterol. The goal is to see if this team-based approach works better than standard doctor visits alone at getting patients to a safe cholesterol level, which can prevent another heart attack. About 230 people in France who have had a heart attack will be randomly assigned to receive either the extra support or usual care for one year.
