New shot aims to save heart muscle after major attack
NCT ID NCT05292404
Summary
This study is testing if giving a cholesterol-lowering injection (alirocumab) right after a severe heart attack helps the heart muscle heal better. It will compare 160 patients who get the injection plus standard care against those who get standard care alone. Doctors will use heart scans to see if the treatment saves more heart tissue and improves heart function over six months.
