Heart attack patients try new drug plan to cut bleeding risk

NCT ID NCT04755387

Summary

This study is testing a new, two-step plan for blood-thinning medications after a heart attack. It aims to lower the risk of serious bleeding by reducing the dose of one drug and stopping another earlier than usual, while still protecting against future heart problems. The trial will compare this new plan to the standard medication approach in over 2,300 people who have had a heart attack.
