Scientists track how hearing aids change social lives and brain activity

NCT ID NCT06781749

Summary

This study aims to understand how using hearing devices affects the social lives and thinking abilities of older adults with hearing loss. Researchers will measure social engagement using a small audio sensor that records voice patterns (not words) and test thinking skills with questionnaires. They will also check for changes in brainwaves to see if better hearing leads to more social interaction and sharper thinking.
