First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a single implant in the lower jaw to hold a denture can change hearing ability. Thirty adults aged 50-65 who had never worn dentures before were tested. Their hearing was measured before and after getting the denture, after implant surgery, and after the implant was attached to the denture. The goal was to see if the implant affects hearing thresholds.
