First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at how well hearing aids and a special sound-making feature (tinnitus masker) help people with hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). About 100 adults will wear hearing aids for 6 months, with the masker turned on after 3 months. The goal is to see if these devices improve hearing and reduce tinnitus symptoms compared to not using them.
