Can a quiet boost from hearing aids silence ringing ears?
NCT ID NCT07489807
Summary
This study is testing whether a very mild hearing aid setting can help people with normal hearing who have bothersome tinnitus. Participants will try two different hearing aid programs for three weeks each: one with a slight sound boost and one with no boost. Researchers will measure if the sound boost reduces how distressing, loud, or annoying the tinnitus feels.
