Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called HearCare MED-EL that lets people with MED-EL cochlear implants get remote support. 120 adults who already had an implant for at least 3 months used the app to install new audio processor settings and run system checks. The goal was to see if the app works safely and reliably for remote care.
