Healthy volunteers to test liquid Diet's gut effects
NCT ID NCT07426003
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will give 25 healthy adults a special liquid nutrition formula or a restricted diet of chicken, eggs, potatoes, bananas, and apples. Researchers will measure how fast food moves through the gut using a swallowed marker and X-rays. The goal is to understand how these diets affect digestion in people without gut disease.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Kate Farms Peptide 1.5 (a liquid nutrition formula) and a Crohn's disease exclusion diet (chicken, eggs, potatoes, bananas, apples)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help researchers understand how enteral nutrition works in the gut, which may guide future treatments for inflammatory bowel diseases.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study in healthy volunteers, not patients. It only measures digestion markers, not disease outcomes, so results may not apply to people with gut inflammation.
