Summary

This trial tests whether a one-day, interactive education program called 'Healthy Heart, Healthy Life' can improve cardiovascular health behaviors in middle school students aged 10 to 15. Half the students receive the program, while the other half does not. Researchers measure changes in behaviors like nutrition, exercise, and stress management at the start, right after the program, and six months later.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
A one-day, four-class-hour interactive education program called 'Healthy Heart, Healthy Life'
What this could lead to
If effective, this program could become a simple, scalable way to teach heart-healthy habits early, potentially reducing future heart disease risk.
What could go wrong
This is a small, short-term study in a specific age group, so results may not apply broadly. Behavior changes may not last beyond the six-month follow-up.
