Can respectful health talks help save newborns in ethiopia?

NCT ID NCT07095296

Summary

This study aims to see if a redesigned health education program, which respects local cultural beliefs, can help new mothers in Ethiopia take better care of their babies and use recommended postnatal check-up services more often. Trained midwives will deliver four educational sessions to pregnant women during their regular prenatal visits. Researchers will then track if these mothers are more likely to get postnatal care and have better knowledge about newborn care after giving birth.
