Can a health coach in your Doctor's office lower your heart risk?
NCT ID NCT07001774
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week health coaching program offered through a primary care clinic could help adults with at least one risk factor for heart disease. 120 participants met with a student health coach five times over 12 weeks, wore an activity tracker, and watched educational videos. The goal was to see if this support could improve their physical activity, diet, sleep, and related health measures like blood pressure and weight.
