Tape or touch? study tests headache relief methods
NCT ID NCT06940167
Summary
This study compared two physical therapy approaches for people with cervicogenic headaches, which are headaches caused by neck problems. Researchers tested whether Kinesio taping (special elastic tape) or myofascial release (a hands-on massage technique) worked better than just doing home exercises alone. 81 adults with chronic neck-related headaches received one of these treatments for four weeks, and researchers measured their pain and disability levels.
