Doctors test direct brain injection for worst headaches

NCT ID NCT06462781

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether a single injection of a numbing medication and a steroid directly into two specific blood vessels in the brain is safe for people with severe, untreatable migraines. Ten adults whose migraines did not respond to at least four other standard treatments received the experimental injection. The main goal was to check for any side effects or safety issues, not to prove how well it works to relieve headaches.
