New hope for tough head & neck cancers after first treatment fails

NCT ID NCT07361133

Summary

This study is testing whether two existing drugs, cyclophosphamide and etoposide, given in low, frequent doses, can help control advanced head and neck cancer that has returned or spread after initial chemotherapy. It will involve 120 adults in Egypt and compare the drug combination to a placebo to see if it slows tumor growth and is safe. The goal is to find a new treatment option for patients who have run out of standard choices.
