New shot tested to regrow hair in autoimmune baldness

NCT ID NCT07049328

Summary

This is a first-in-human study to check the safety of an experimental drug called HCW9302 in people with alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss. About 30 adults will receive injections, starting with low doses to monitor for side effects. The main goal is to find a safe dose for future testing, while also looking for early signs that the treatment might help hair grow back.
