Major study tests 12-Week cure for hepatitis c in cambodian youth

NCT ID NCT05992077

Summary

This study aims to test how well a 12-week combination pill (sofosbuvir/daclatasvir) works to clear the Hepatitis C virus in children and teenagers in Cambodia. It will involve up to 21,000 young people, first screening them for the virus and then treating those who are infected. The main goal is to see if the virus remains undetectable 12 weeks after finishing the treatment, while also checking the drug's safety and how the body processes it.
