Summary

This study tests whether kidneys from donors with hepatitis C can be safely transplanted into patients without hepatitis C who need a kidney transplant. After the transplant, recipients receive antiviral medication to prevent or treat hepatitis C infection. The goal is to expand the pool of available donor kidneys and reduce wait times for transplants.
