New push to wipe out hepatitis c in hidden High-Risk communities

NCT ID NCT05794646

Summary

This study is testing a community outreach program to find and treat hepatitis C (HCV) in people who use drugs in four French cities. It uses a 'peer recruitment' method where participants invite others to get screened and receive immediate treatment if needed. The goal is to see if this approach is a practical and effective way to eliminate HCV in this high-risk group by improving access to care.
