First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 48-week course of pegylated interferon alfa-2b can help teens and children (ages 3-17) with chronic hepatitis B achieve a clinical cure. About 113 participants will either receive the drug or standard care (no drug or nucleoside analogs). The goal is to see if the treatment clears the virus and improves immune response, though lifelong medication may still be needed.
