New drug combo tested to fight liver scarring from hepatitis b

NCT ID NCT07183293

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a weekly injection (peginterferon) to standard daily antiviral pills works better than the pills alone for people with stable liver scarring caused by hepatitis B. It will enroll 30 adults with compensated cirrhosis to see if the combination improves liver health and reduces complications. The main goal is to measure changes in liver tissue and stiffness over time.
