Could a simple blood test predict kidney trouble after heart surgery?

NCT ID NCT07445997

Summary

This study aims to understand if a patient's blood sugar level before heart bypass surgery can help predict their risk of kidney injury after the operation. Researchers will observe 200 patients, measuring their blood sugar and performing a special kidney ultrasound before and after surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better identify and care for patients at higher risk for this complication.
