First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study is creating a new scoring system called the HASS score to help doctors reliably diagnose long biceps tendon injuries before surgery. Currently, these injuries are hard to diagnose accurately, often leading to uncertainty in treatment. The study will enroll 200 adults with shoulder pain lasting over 6 months who are scheduled for surgery. The HASS score combines physical exam tests and imaging (like MRI or CT scans) to improve diagnostic accuracy.
