First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at 179 people with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid gland. Researchers measured levels of a hormone called reverse T3 and checked blood markers for inflammation. The goal was to see if these markers are different in patients who take thyroid medication versus those who don't, and to better understand how the disease affects the whole body.
